BLACK AND TAN

So smooth, incredible flavor...my fav!!!

Bought this coffee for my dad for Christmas, who is very picky about his coffee. Needless to say after one cup, he has become an instant fan!

After a couple of years of drinking Black and Tan daily, it is still my favorite. This is NOT my personality. I am Mr "try something new every meal" or even every bite! But not with this coffee. It is, in my opinion, as good as it gets.

Our first day in Tullahoma we found Raphaels Roastery thinking in was a coffe shop. Hoping for a good cup of coffee. We met Mike and Joe. Great people that made us feel welcome. Mike showed us around and discussed the roasting process and several of their blends of coffee. We were suprised that they roasted the coffee when you order it. Talk about fresh. We have purchased both their Black and Tan and their French Roast Costa Rican. We prefer dark roast coffees. The Black and Tan is fabulous. Rich flavor, fantastic aroma, just a hint of smokieness, with a very smooth finish. The French Roast Costa Rican is a little stronger with a bold nose and full body. I would highly recommend either of these although. We have tried dozens of coffees over the years to include fresh roasted and have not found any that comnpare to Raphaels. Who would have thought that we would find this quality of coffee in Tullahomna TN.This is a win win for coffee lovers. Great people with a passion for incredible coffee. We also purchased one of their French Press insulated coffee mugs so I could have an incredible cup of coffee first thing in the morning in the hotel room. What a life saver this has become. It works great. A little hot around the top chrome ring when you first brew it, but I tend to drink my coffee really hot. If you give it a few minutes it will cool down. We are now dedicated customers of Raphaels and will continue to purchase their coffee no matter where we are.

Our church just opened our new building. I went there on the first Sunday with my coffee mug in tow. I expected to get a cup of the usual Foldgers--I filled my cup and took a sip. Imagine my surprise when I took a sip and tasted the BEST coffee that I had ever tasted. After church I texted our pastor and asked, "what brand of coffee was THAT?' He directed me to our new Hospitality minister, who directed me to Raphaels. I ordered 5 lbs on Sun and it arrived on Wed. I gave some to my Dad who also agreed it was outstanding, now he is hooked. I have enjoyed coffee all over the world and it is hard to believe that the best I have ever had came from Tullahoma--but apparently it does. And it is not even expensive.

This coffee is smooth, yet dark and bold. I mix it with 1/2 decaff - the Pacifica Expresso. I am also a Starbucks fan, but have to say this is better! Raphael's is careful to maintain the flavor of the bean by not overroasting. The delivery was immediate - I ordered the day before, and picked up the next day! Thanks so much. Glad to have a local coffee company!
